Where have you been April? Writing a BOOK.

Book Signing at IOUG COLLABORATE 2010  Bookstore – Monday April 19th at 12:45pm.  I was there but no books available so this was a wash…sorry if you showed up.

First thing you will notice when looking at the cover, the mysterious image. I have NO idea what it is, all I know it is mysterious. Underground somewhere I suppose.

Oracle Database 11g – Underground Advice for Database Administrators

Now for those who haven’t written a book yet, when you do the entire process is fraught with give and takes.

This was first intended to be a novice book but my material was too advanced, ok so throw that idea out the window.

Enter a new title.

A couple of people inquired what I have been up to for the last few months…this was it.

If you have ever come to one of my presentations you know that I give out tons of info, this book is crammed full of advice. Decide for yourself if it is worth it.

Read it , digest it, chuck what you don’t need, come back for more.

Really intended for somone who isn’t a novice but new to Oracle. A fast learner, perhaps a manager, system admin or developer who is now in charge of a database.

April, you pretty much summed it up quite well. =) You cover some excellent topics and I was pleased to learn a few things. It will be interesting to see which audience this appeals to most.

Reading it, digesting it, chucking what I don’t need, coming back for more.
